Is it possible to set reading options, so you can e.g. start reading at the first uread post of a topic?
Btw, can you really "like" your own post?
I have just noticed that this is implemented. If you click the "new" button next to a topic you are directed to the new posts.
If this was implemented by the staff, thanks, if it was always there I want people to know.
I actually did not catch that; I had assumed that the "New" button next to the threads was merely a notification and not a proper link to any new posts. Thank you for the discovery.
I mean the big ankh symbols on the main board. They change color if something new was posted. Then you go into a subsection and there is no color change on any of the threads, just the small "new" icon. Changing the ankhs there would make it easier to find new stuff.
Hey, forgot to ask earlier: why doe my "rank" (Neonate, Ancillae, etc.) doesn't show up? Does it has anything to do with my affiliation (Independent, Sabbath, etc.) or something?

It is unfortunately not possible at present to have the thread icons alternate with new posts in the same way board icons are capable of alternating between red and white. However, I could enlarge the "new" icon, or assign the new posts notification an entirely different icon (such a large red exclamation mark) so that it is far more obvious when new posts have been made in the threads.

Yes, at present, if you join a user group, your member rank no longer appears and it's text field is instead used to display your user group of affiliation. However, the option to alternate between groups of display and/or rank exists is present at the bottom of the Edit Profile - Settings page.
It would be ideal if both groups of affiliation and member rank could be displayed simultaneously, so I'll check to see if any plugins for it exist in the near future.

That would be a fine solution. Also is it necessary to make alternating posts and answers change color? It makes everything a little bit more confusing...

The alternating background colors of the posts are a default forum color scheme setting and changing them to make use of the same color would interfere with reading visibility and the visual quality of the forum for some users. I am not quite certain how the background color alteration between black and grey would be regarded as confusing unless the colors are too similar.
Some of the additional themes I plan to introduce that will be interchangeable on the user-end will likely maintain a solid background color scheme between posts, and there will also be themes re-using the aesthetics of the old forums. I may also create a simplified version of the current default forum theme with no alternating post color schemes.
I sadly have no estimation on when I'll be able to create and implement the planned new themes, but ideally they will be created sometime later this month, after the upcoming batch of updates.

It turns out that it isn't possible to change the New icon as easily as the other forum icons as it is not loaded from any images stored within a theme. However, I have highlighted it and made the text more bold. Hopefully that helps to some extent. If that does not suffice however, I can modify the forums' Style Sheet to link to a new image hosted externally.
Regarding the white foreground you mentioned in your next post, are you referring to the Quick Reply field's background color, or something different? Screenshots of any elements in question are always highly appreciated.
I think Wesp is refering to the changes in textcolour. As an example, let's say both, Wesp and you quote my text to make a reply. Then in Wesp's post my quoted text will appear in white and his reply in red; on the other hand in your post my quoted text will appear in red and your reply in white. And I agree that it can be a bit confusing when the same quoted text of the same author sometimes appears in red and sometimes in white.

Thank you for the clarification, I have changed all text colors in reference to the exact same shade of white for now. The color may change again in the future, but it will not alternate as before for the default theme.
