I know it looks a huge things at the begining but seriously we are here to help.
Probably we need to have video tutorial, I am thinking of creating some (but I think about a lot of things) to also provide knowledge how to and maybe have some buidling map for people to start creating their stories.
That's the aim having more and more people be able to create stories in Bloodlines so we can play them.

In my opionion you're right, people want to play new histories, with new content, NPCs, places and so... CQM prove it, prelude is amazing too and people really want to play part 2, and peopl that worked on War Games, we did our best... The game has 20 years, but serious modding began 10 years ago. If people keeps playing and loving this game, I have no doubt we will see more 'original' histories.

I am just quoting this, argikt, you have provided the most gameplay extension of all mods, I mean this amount of work is the same as making a game in hammer, and after 2 years of dev, I am able to provide maybe 2 hours (I have difficutlies to estimate as I speedrun everything when testing) that is not yet even released
So no worries, you have already make a great job, we are not dev studio we have lives, work and so on.
But I really think that now there are tools to enhance our productivity and if we create "template" map/stories/quest, people will have easier life modding.

For tutorial here is my ideas:
First one generic overview of the architecture and the most used tools:
- Explanation of the differents folders
- Opening hammer/configuration of the mod
- Creating a base map square mesh, make hollow, basic texturing
- Decompiling a UP map (for example smoke)
- Opening the decompiled map in hammer
- Basic objects manipulation, select copy, paste, paste special
- Copy basic package of UP to this test map, and explanation of the different object logic_auto, sound_environment, dialog_particle, isIdling(),....
- Copy a NPC and put it in the test map
- Change some parameters of this NPC and explanation of some basics propeties, like the model, dialog
- Compile the map
- Open VPK tool and inject the character in the previous UP map
- Test in UP
And then another tutorial for dialog
- How the dialog works, explanation
- Generating a basic dialog for the previous NPC, Hello, bla bla, good bye
- How the soundline files works, lip, vcd, wav/mp3 generic
- Generate a basic dialog with an AI tools (I use Voice Maker but there is also Eleventabs to look for) => things that we just start to have in our modding toolkit and this is a game changer.
- I need to try the other tools that if you provide sounds, it will replicate the voice, maybe this is also a game changer to expand LA, but in that case we should credit the voice actor so maybe some words on this possibility.
- I use Audacity for the basic sounds edition so basically converting to the right format 44100, having the length (for vcd).
- Change the vcd, explanation on vcd
- Generating the lip automatically => I just realize this, before I was doing phoeneme by phoeneme, everyone is allowed to laught
- Generating the subtitles, explanation on lip
- Putting everything in the right folder
- Test in game
And then creating a quest and then I don't know, like a lot of hammer stuff, optimize the map, the different objects and use seriously there is a lot to teach and there is python to teach also.
Concerning tutorials, I think it would be a great idea if someone made them. But personally I'd prefer a written one over a video. That way I can go at my own pace, skip what I already know and reread things I didn't get the first time. Plus I can keep the text open for reference while trying it out.
Mercurio. Interesting topic. He tells the player that his loyalty to the cam is written in blood, but then he sells weapons to the anarchs. How does that fit? About his combat abilities, he was on bodyguard duty for that elder and he casually talks about going into Sabbat territioy. And I don't think he talks about Andrei's rabble in LA. Combined with his time as a ghoul he should be able to easily deal with a neonate when he is at full strength, and even injured he should be no pushover. For the stats, he should at least have a point or two in potence and fortitude. If you can't or don't want to edit disciplines for him, those can be emulated by giving him high strenth and soak values.
Agree, we have amazing mods (am playing War Games, fantastic what was created; I posted that image about it on the Discord because that bug was funny, but nothing game breaking - only the Paris Prince quest was bugged, but it can happen).
And yes, I should stop being lazy and learn to mod.

I gave Presence to the Sweeper and Potence to Tung so Fortitude is probably fine ! The only problem I see is that in the game we don't learn that ghouls can have Disciplines in the first place, or am I forgetting something? Because Romero doesn't use some either...

In short as soon as a ghould drink vitae they gain one dot in potence and after it is basically the same as vampire except they loose one dot/month, they have a vitae bloodpool that they could manage to do vampiric stuff (heal, regen a member, use discipline).
But this is all WoD lore that is not at all mentioned in the game. Troika seems to have never thought about giving Disciplines to ghouls! Knox and Grout's ghouls and of course Heather don't use any Disciplines either, so I will keep it that way. It might be a thing to insert into the updated PnP mod though, but then it should be done for the other ghouls too...
I'm thinking in what fight inside the game is Mercurio involved...He gave a quest and then becomes a vendor... I missed something? never saw him fighting in vanilla.
On the beach if the Player attacks him. Or if pissing him off enough on the first dialog so when coming back with the Astrolite he'll be ready to fight back (thanks to some extra vamp blood supposedly).
EDIT: Oh, and he's not a follower in Companion mod (unless you edit his dialog but it will make no sense)
