Wow, this is very complicated! What I would rather have mappers do is create new hubs with new maps and new stories instead of adding to the original game, which is limited in several ways anyway. Once Prelude II is out, you will see how great a new hub can look in a mod !
I have already a new hub in a mod, it is Pasadena, I plan to have also some other hubs implemented, the museum is one good candidate.
But this is for extending the Downtown story and link other location easily for example link chateau in HW or ocean's house in SM (because the sewer could be use for other things) and I need something to link the dock area to each hub because that's not on the right place on the map
With this I am able to add stories on the fly, this is the main step for me, I could add plenty of sub hub, location whatever I want and the main reason, when I want.
Why not both bigs hubs and many hubs depending on the situation? I love being present in such a big moment in VtMB modding <3
I think after the possibilities are endless, I mean it is mainly depending on the time to create those hubs/map and the quest and everything.
It could be sub hub of Downtown, it could be one shot locations, it could be utilities (medical clinic, police station) and whatever and even if I don't know by which mean, I manage to fill everything, I still could do the same trick for the last one and continue expanding with hundred.
And it is just for this Downtown hub.
I will use some slot for the dock area and there is at least 2 (maybe 3) maps there and one allow you to go around the world.
But I know that makes my life easier to be able to extend step by step without screwing the savegame of the player and for some part I have just concept so i don't need to work or finish them, i could focus on the story goes on and the event pass.
It will be slowly upgrading and expending like a normal chronicle.
So the beta of the first part should have been released today, but it is going to be a bit later. Well I will try to release it tomorrow. There is one last bug that need to be fixed.

Looks like this will be a good year for bloodlines... I think 3 mayor mods will be released, and maybe bloodlines2? Thanks a lot, it is a beta but I think it is polish enough even if it doesn't have a lot of gameplay.
I guess maybe we should ask Steam to have a workshop so people would see modding this game is possible.
For Bloodlines 2 I would prefer that they come to us and ask how they may improve, honestly, I understand the action rpg but without the character sheet that's kinda not Bloodlines and not sure we could fix it without rebuilding the full game, but, I still intend to stream it so people could see by themself before buying it.

So the beta version of the first part is released for now on Moddb.
To install extract the Hecata_Chronicles folder included in the zip file in your vampire folder. There is a shortcut if you want to copy it to your desktop, it should also work with the loader.
I cut where I think it fits well, there is already some more game play but I need to finish two maps before releasing, those will contains the hubs, a third part will include the "final version" and the transition to the other arc and the starting of doing stuff in LA (not quest).
Dev Notes The tutorial is not skippable (yet) but it is short. The story is pretty linear, but that's the intro. A lot of line has be reused well that's from a time where the ai audio where not the things they are now, but I created the story around those lines so I am keeping it, but if some English writer want to improve the dialog I am all for it. I have tried to make a story according those lines, that's probably not the best one but I guess it is ok for an intro on the Giovanni clan. Some voice acting have been changed but I loose some intonation, so I need to work on them. Probably Mercurio name will be changed in the final release. Some models and voice need to be changed but it will be for the final version. Some dialog need to be improved. The music part needs to be finished/change.
I am releasing it for grabbing return of people, check if people like it the way I am doing it, like some details, situation or not and also trying to catch as much as bug as possible, there will be probably other paths added in the final version, but again that's a beta.
