Things in map not showing up

i'm super newb comin in here i got the basic of maps down. but when i try to load up my newbie map so i can check out my glitches so i can fix 'em one hits me right in the face my floors and some buildings don't even show up when i run the map why does it do this and how do i fix it?
and you guys also have the best tutorials i've seen so far

Are you using sectors? Cause without seeing the map, that is what it sounds like to me... things that are outside of sectors or within sector intersections (bad thing) will not show in a map, or cause a hall of mirrors effect.
