Vampire the Masquerade Redemption's Embrace editor runs on a fork of Id Software's QERadiant. Which was a Quake 2 era level editor. It uses an identical format called .map.
Because that format is identical you can map in other editors and import them in very easily. You can also import .map files from tools people made that spit them out. Such as Obj2map. Other examples are terrain editors.
By far the best terrain editor I've found that works with VtmR is called Canyon. It's located here.
The main thing Canyon has going for it are it's controls. It has very easy to use controls that are reminiscent of some video games like Sim City 4. You can export the file as a Quake 1 .map very easily and open it up in Embrace.
And from there so long as you exported it as the lowest detail option you should have no problems compiling and running the level.
