Let's say we want to make a wading pool. (So players can "wade" through it.
Make a hollow the size that you want for the pool. (Making sure it's Z height is a little over the character's waist).
Now, bring the top(ceiling) of the hollow down to just below the waist, and let's apply the LondonWater texture.
Next, make the ceiling a TemplateBrush (By right clicking the 2d menu) Press N and find Tracker_thing_laser, and apply it to the "water"
Make sure there is a player_start even with the "bottom" of the pool, and it is also Walkable.
There you go! A wading pool!

You can also make your water areas walkable by right clicking on the water brush in the 2D view window and selecting detail. Or Select the water brush then right click on it in the 3D window (this loads the texture properties) and hit the S key to bring up the surface properties dialog, just click on detail. You will now be able to click "in" your water areas and allow players to walk through them as long as whatever is beneath your water is marked as walkable. -Jaks
