Hall Of Mirrors from editing original maps Question Submitted By: Raving Malkav I keep having Hall of Mirrors appear on my edited maps from the original game. I have had this plague edited exits, floors, walls that I created and even an empty space which only had a sector line. Sending these to the Static Layer doesn't seem to help. Since you are not talking about template brushes, right? layers are probably not your problem. Generic geometry is automatically static, so it sounds like your problem is probably with sectors. Especially, as dyllantina mentions, if you CSG-subtracted anywhere within a sector.
I would suggest that you go over the maps with a fined-toothed comb, zoom in all the way, and set your grid to 1 and make sure that all the geometry you are adding/changing is within a sector boundary. Keep in mind that you will get HOM on your floors and ceilings if they are not completely within the sector boundary, and the same goes for any exits you may add. Also, make sure that sector boundaries do not overlap in any area of the map.
