I want to know how to make a double sided PivotDoor, so that that both will open by clicking on them. Answer Category: Mapping / Embrace
First, go through all the steps to make a regular pivot door for both doors (the steps are given in Making a Door). Then, select one of the doors, and change the script to DoublePivotDoor under the overrides tab of the Things & Templates Editor (N) and apply.
With the door still selected, click once in the 2D grid and then open the Codex Linker (Shift + C). Under the parameters tab, there will be an empty field in the value column (for the second half door). Click once in that empty field (it will highlight blue) and then Shift+click on your second door in the camera view. You should see a purple line appear between the two doors. This is what tells the game to open both doors if you click on one.
Repeat this process for the second door, so that no matter which door you click in the game, both will open.
If you want both doors to open the same way (i.e., "in" or "out"), make sure that you put a "-" in front of the value you set for the yaw of the path corner. For example, if you set the first door's path corner to 90, then set the path corner for the second door to -90.
Double Pivot Door not Working Question Submitted By: Degasai I followed the exact instructions regarding the making of a double pivot door, one in which both sections are linked. I have done it and redone it, but I always wind up with the same problem. Only the right half of the double door is active. The other half won't even highlight during testing, much less open. The camera view shows both purple link lines, the orientation of the path corners is correct, but I still am not having any success. Any pointers?
Thanks, all....

The only thing that I can think of here is that perhaps you do not have the double pivot door script applied to the second door. Also, when you say that the purple link shows up in the camera view, are there two lines between the doors? If not, then perhaps you have one of the doors linked incorrectly. Without seeing the map itself, that's the best help I can give, so please feel free to email me if this does not work
