Unofficial Patch Plus(UP) 11.5 and 9.2(or Clan Quest Mod which is also UP 9.2) - differencies What is the really noticeable differencies between two versions? I have already asked it in Discord, but I need to gather my thoughts together, please help me with it!
Thanks to community, this is the info I have as of now: -new visuals (reflections on the roads) -new FX/particle effects(beetle spell from animalism) -new models(former "batman" now looking more wolfie-like)
-Shortcuts in temple(persuaded Yukie) and in tower(persuaded Chunk) -Shortcut in sewers with a great whole new map(i envy you, 11.5 users!)
-fixed frenzy, it now improves stats instead of reducing!
-impoved dialogues with new voiced lines for "And Her Name Was Venus" quest
Free roam modus after finishing the game? Just check the patch readme, there were hundreds of fixes and improvements!
Sorry, its hard for me to phrase it properly, but what I mean is impressions from player(user) perspective after switching from 9.2 tp 11.5
readme is, unfortunately, a congregate of dry facts without any attachments - which is very hard to read
For ex,
"Fixed Bach encounter exploit and moved Ming sanctum XP to sanctum. Added missing Tawni's TV sound and removed some lens reflections."
Which exploit?(I have never used any exploits), what is sanctum XP? never heard about Tawni TV. What is "some" lens reflections? etc,etc
Read me correctly, no disrespect intended, I do really appreciate that you are working day and night, spoiling users with a non-stop stream of your mod releases, but I want more like an "emotional" picture, rather than technical documentation.
Yeah, I confess that the readme is hard to understand. I more or less keep it to know what changes I made and years latter I don't remember myself ! But why are you asking in the first place? Do you intend to update the CQM from 9.2 to 11.5?
Well, sort of. I have already warned both you and Bürgermeister about my idea of combining both mods in my submod for CQM about 20 days ago, though I have not yet even decided whether it will be a public submod, not to mention what exactly will be moved from UP 11.5. I must be honest these 20 days were nightmarish ones, since I have no experience of modding at all(you can find my question about doors here, which now looks like a totaly noobish one) and I was experimenting, trying to figure out what I can do and what not. So many engine limitations and bugs I have found in the process, not to mention the cost of every my own silly mistake, I was about to throw out my keyboard and even pc right into the window! Now, when I have gone though the one whole game playthrough, looking at it with bleeding modder's eyes, I can't really comprehend where you and other modders are taking patience and strength for it! Well, the result : I know that my gameplay changes are doable, albeit in a very crude and ugly way, now I need to cool down and take some rest and create a plan of my future course of actions. There will be no way back, after I start making changes in meta data of bsp files, so I must now decide for myself, what i will take from 11.5 and what not.

Ah, I think it's typical problem of beginners : I did not even know where to start looking, the amount of new information was overwhelming at the moment for me. Now, I would not even think about bothering someone with questions like this, I have had a lot of more complex problems to solve later, so I would probably exceeded the limit of threads in forum if I have started asking them all Thanks for your time, you have really gave me a kick start!
