Greetings Kindred,
I do apologize for the span of several months that have passed since the Planet Vampire forums last received a significant update, although minor tweaks have been made gradually throughout the past few weeks. However, I am pleased to announce that as of today, there are now two new themes available to all members of the forums.
The first of these new themes is an approximation of the classic Planet Vampire forum theme those of you who recall the old forums should be familiar with. The theme is not a perfect or exact copy of the old forums, however it encapsulates the overall vibe, utilizes the same icons, banner, and should serve well for nostalgia's sake.
The second recently-created theme is a recreation of the old Gamespy Planet Vampire theme from the early 2000s onward prior to the closure of Gamespy. Most of you will likely not remember Planet Vampire as it was in those early days, however, a Wayback Machine snapshot of the forums in 2005 may be found here:

These two themes merely serve as the beginning of the many intriguing and exciting new themes planned for the forums, some of which will be simple and utilitarian, others of which will be complex and elegant, artistically-oriented, or outright sanity-challenging (I'm certainly not hinting at a Malkavian forum skin or anything of the sort).
All new themes may be selected by clicking on the colored wheel at the edge of the user taskbar on the right-hand side of your screen. This menu is only visible while logged in.
Additionally, a number of new smilies have been added, all of which were found in the FTP backup of the old Planet Vampire forums, graciously saved and shared by Signothorn. Unfortunately, the new smilies are visible only in the advanced reply field and cannot be selected from the Quick Reply field. I will implement the ability to select custom forum smilies from the Quick Reply menu if the appropriate plugin or HTML workaround can be located.
Enjoy the new themes and emojis, and do not hesitate to provide feedback or critique as necessary.
