SO the "func_detail" i understand i can't touch it using a simple texture the problem is not that i don't know which texture it uses- i wrote you the texture, the VMT that is uses just doesn't work.
So door, i cannot fix, the shelf isn't a model i can just switch it's texure or the theater's base ok! but i will search for that curtain, let's see if there's anything i can do.

Hello! Sorry if I understand you wrong. I know not much about retexturing the game, but I believe some guys here can give you a hint where you can find and fix your problem. Also I saw some textures have two materials in the one wmt file. Maybe the problem is here?! The "func_detail" just grupped brushes to one big object, so game textures should work here as in other places.

Normally func_detail do nothing, but I think (not sure) here the func_detail get different texture, I have seen this in other map they select a lot of things and put them on func_detail.
Otherwise, it could be possible as Avadonica mention that the problem is coming from an other texture linked with this one (or another one linked and so on).
Opening hammer could be a solution.
Just found how to have access to all textures in a map:
Open your map
Select toogle texture (left panel in the middle)
Click browse
Tick the only used textures checkbox
And you will have all textures used on brush (not the one on prop).

No no you got it. The game might use a different VMT file for that texture. that is the name of the texture vs the name of the VMT which affects the scale is not the same filename. this might be embbed into the map.
like with what i found out Now- i need to shrink all buildings because... it's embbed into the maps and this one will give me a headache. it seems some things are Within the game, not within the texture files.

no, it's not those textures the black ones are not moving no matter what i do. it's super strange... but it's a bug i was trying to resolve from day 1! so i'll live. there are a few things that i can't fix but now it's so minimal it's not a big deal. thank you! i think end of April-ish i'll update the pack and credit you <3

Did you have a look to this one:
materials\models\scenery\plants\saguaro\gravel ?
As it seems the prop ar generated with this texture: ground\gravela
The missing textures are probably linked to the detail_prop linked to this texture: detail_prop
Maybe it is elsewhere, I really don't know i just had a quick look but for sure those are generated on the texture on the fly (like grass), so you need to dig on this part
avadonica i credited you on the description and i'm happy to say that i resolved, it seems about 90% of crashes. the list really helped.
for the rocks- IF it's a model, i prefer to switch the texture with the SDK but i gather it's the "detail func thing" so i'll try to see if i can change the files or what. i'll probably update it again in a few months, i do want to work on the interface a bit more and see if i can invent anything better with the armor page.. and gather data bugs and what not.
I'm updating everyone here, just in case. in general it seems that the game doesn't crash really and it seems that most of everything looks ok and compatibility works well. which means i can finalize some UI:
As the last steps for my HD pack there is work on the UI design i still want to implement
1. I still need to refine the Character sheet + remake the art of the back. BUT i cannot find those buttons! (right bottom) that texture is used also on popups and such... If anyone can track that down, thank you, tops i'll do it without it.
I want that character sheet to look slicker- it's better but it's still a mess.
2. the Armor / clothes thing. the original is terrible, this whole page is redundant but there's no way to remove it. only dress it differently. This is what i made- if you guys think there's a way to improve it, tell me. I want to Unisex / Global it so it will fit all characters in all versions.
3. Do you guys think i should invest on the Popups on the Tutorial part? as the tutorial does not fit my iconography etc.

I can't help you with your requests, but you are aware that people are reporting real bugs with your latest version on Reddit and the Steam boards? It seems that you made some errors when compiling the maps or that you used some buggy maps from my Unofficial Patch which have been fixed in the meantime.
