Thanks for the recommendation, will get to it one night. For some reason I always mix up this movie with Lynch's Lost Highway, which is also on my watchlist.
I quite like the original 1922 Nosferatu, never cared much for the 1931 Dracula though. I recommend the 1979 Nosferatu remake - the movie has a rather sleepy pace, but the visuals are greatly done.
I also really really recommend the 1932 Vampyr, a very underrated old movie. Not action-packed at all, but very trippy...
I also remember Kindred: The Embraced, I even saw the rare pilot episode with several alternative scenes... For those who don't know, it's actually based on VtM, but very loosely so - boiling down mostly to "Ventrue good, Brujah bad" crime drama. Kinda the opposite of what VtM Redemption is sometimes criticized for. Not a bad series in any case, I think. RIP Mark Frankel...
Yes, there is such a version. I think originally I found it on TPB. As I recall, it was a good deal longer than the first episode's final cut. They planned for Alexandra to survive the Blood Hunt underwater, that curly-haired Brujah girl (Sasha) was meant to attend a stuck-up Catholic school much to her dislike, there was also a scene with her publicly kissing a deceased relative during the funerals at the winery, and something else I can't remember right now. I'd say it's pretty interesting and worth a watch if you've seen the original series.
